*Position Overview*
We are seeking a seasoned, self-starting Network Engineer to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and either possess or be working toward a CCNA certification (or equivalent knowledge). This is an onsite position in our Linden office and is best suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative, high-touch environment.
You will be responsible for supporting your own dedicated customer base, providing technical support, monitoring, performing upgrades, and driving network expansion projects. While the role is heavily Cisco-centric, you will also gain exposure to Checkpoint firewalls, Meraki, Verkada, and HPE compute/storage platforms. This opportunity allows you to further develop your skills by working alongside senior engineers in live production environments.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers, delivering timely assistance and issue resolution.
* Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) at customer sites.
* Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN performance and connectivity problems.
* Document network configurations, manage asset inventory, and maintain change records.
* Deploy and evaluate new networking and security technologies.
* Provide ongoing technical support to both clients and internal teams as needed.
* Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations.
*Qualifications*
* 3 to 5 years of experience working with Cisco equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Checkpoint firewall experience is a plus.
* Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, subnetting.
* CCNA or equivalent certification/training preferred.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn emerging technologies.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while recognizing when to seek assistance.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (occasional travel to client sites required).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
