How you’ll make a difference As an Associate DevOps Engineer you’ll stabilise, secure and observe Bauer’s data platforms, support AWS and cloud data warehouses, and help standardise deployments, monitoring and access.
Your role
Monitor and support AWS services and cloud data warehouses using MONACO, CloudWatch and related tools.
Manage and standardise access and permissions in AWS IAM and support role‑based controls for Snowflake and DataHub.
Assist with deployment processes for data and analytics services, including CI/CD pipelines and Docker‑based deployments on EC2.
Maintain and improve documentation for services, runbooks and SOPs.
Contribute to automation, better alerting and streamlined processes while handling day‑to‑day platform support.
Collaborate with engineers across DDS to improve stability, performance and cost control.
The skills you will bring
Prior experience in a DevOps, platform, SRE or cloud support role or IT/data environments with cloud exposure.
Technical literacy and comfort with cloud consoles, command‑line tools and developers.
Exposure to AWS fundamentals (EC2, IAM, CloudWatch).
Basic Python skills for scripting and automation.
Hands‑on experience with Docker containers.
Experience with AWS CloudWatch and observability tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
Exposure to cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Interest in data catalog/governance tooling.
Working pattern/location London‑based hybrid role: currently one day in office per fortnight, moving toward 1–2 days per week over time.
