The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) leads the statewide effort to expand broadband coverage and quality for all Coloradans and coordinates all broadband efforts for Colorado. As our new Senior Grant Management Program Specialist you will have the chance to develop, implement, and administer the Grant Management program activities and functions and provide subject matter expertise to program staff, other agencies, the community, and program participants. If you are a grant management guru, this could be the opportunity you are looking forSome of the day to day opportunities include: Acting as a technical expert in grant management, serving as an expert resource by performing legislative and/or policy analysis of issues and formulating approaches and plans to address identified issues, and briefs management on concerns and issues by providing information required for decision making.Leading the development and implementation of performance criteria for the program area and evaluating the program's performance in meeting goals and objectives. Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, business practices, and control mechanisms, reviews status of operations, modifies and implements procedures to increase operating efficiency, and determines effectiveness of desired results. Reviewing grant applications including technical documentation, financial information, operating plans, and financial forecasting.Tracking grant agreements, project milestones, closeout, and agreement expiration dates.Conducting comprehensive needs assessments by auditing and evaluating program progress to determine if the program is achieving its objectives. Analyzing program data, identifying actual and potential problem areas, trends, areas of imbalance, and related factors that impact a program, and preparing comprehensive reports of findings including solutions and recommendations for upper management.

All remote work must be performed in Colorado. While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position.
