About
Local Ophthalmology Practice is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join the team. Job is very high pace and candidate must be able to handle multiple requests at one time.
Job duties include:
Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office
Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary in person and on the phone
Work closely with our referring providers to provide services to patients
Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments
Register new patients and update necessary records, including insurance information
Verifying insurance benefits
Distribute paperwork to patients and then check them to ensure that required fields are completed
Collect and post patient payments
Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
Assist the surgery scheduler with obtaining pre-authorizations and any other tasks assigned
Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
The ideal candidate we are looking for must have:
HS diploma/GED
Able to work independently
Ability to multi-task
Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD10 coding a plus
Computer knowledge, including being very comfortable using tablet for multiple tasks
The ideal candidate must be an enthusiastic, upbeat people-person who is detail-oriented and possesses exceptional communication skills and a warm and professional demeanor.
This is a full time, hourly position: Monday – Friday.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
