Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst to support enterprise-level analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in SQL and Python, a solid understanding of insurance data models, and the ability to build analytical datasets that drive business insights and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale insurance datasets to deliver actionable business insights
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume data processing
- Build and maintain analytical datasets and BI-ready data layers
- Perform data manipulation, analysis, and automation using Python
- Support insurance business processes across policy lifecycle, claims, rating, and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
- Support reporting and visualization initiatives using BI tools
- Document data logic, processes, and analytical workflows
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of total experience in Data Analytics
- Strong expertise in SQL including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and large-volume data handling
- Advanced hands-on experience in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation using pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy
- Strong understanding of insurance data structures and processes including policy lifecycle, endorsements, rating, claims lifecycle, reserves, commissions, reinsurance, and regulatory reporting
- Experience building analytical datasets and BI layers
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Data Analytics–related certifications (nice to have)
