Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, portioning meat, and preparing sauces.

• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.

• Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.

• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.

• Assist with inventory management and notify the kitchen manager of any shortages.

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service.

• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. Requirements:

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role.

• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Time management abilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Benefits:
