About

The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at The Ohio State University seeks a ACCAD Archivist to lead a dynamic project that uncovers, interprets, and shares the rich history of the ACCAD. This role involves archival research, storytelling, and the development of engaging digital and physical experiences—including a website, video content, and exhibitions—that communicate ACCAD's legacy and impact in the fields of dance, theatre, music, visual art, design, and computing.

The ACCAD Archivist will conduct in-depth research into ACCAD's archives, including physical and digital materials, oral histories, and past projects; collaborate with faculty, alumni, and staff to gather stories, artifacts, and insights; organize and catalog findings in a structured, accessible format; develop compelling narratives that capture different aspects of ACCAD's evolution, contributions, and influence; produce/share multimedia content (videos, interviews, timelines, interactive features) for digital platforms; write and edit content for web, exhibition panels, and promotional materials; manage and coordinate with student designers to create public-facing webpage/s that showcases ACCAD's story; curate and coordinate physical and/or virtual exhibitions and conversations that highlight key moments and works from ACCAD's history; collaborate with university partners to secure exhibition space and related opportunities; develop and maintain a project timeline and deliverables in consultation with the ACCAD Director; and provide regular updates to ACCAD leadership and stakeholders.

This position is Temporary with the possibility of extension based on need, performance, and availability of funding.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Digital Humanities, Art/Design History, Media Studies, Archival Studies, Museum Studies, or related disciplines) and 4 years of relevant experience required. Demonstrated experience in archival research, storytelling, or curatorial work. Strong writing and editorial skills. Familiarity with digital content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software). Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines
