Global Adult Care Services LLC is a growing, small business dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking reliable and caring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our close-knit team. As an individual member of our team, you, as a DSP, will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity—both at home and in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care, supervision, and companionship tailored to each individual's needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping
- Support individuals during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities; provide transportation as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Complete accurate documentation, including daily notes and incident reports, in accordance with agency and state regulations
- Follow all policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including Chapter 6400 regulations (as applicable)
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families regarding individual needs and progress
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks and required clearances.
- CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and other mandated trainings (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in caregiving, human services, or direct support is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
