About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled
Buyer I
with a strong background in procurement, parts sourcing, and supplier coordination. This role requires the ability to resolve issues quickly—such as incorrect parts deliveries—while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and supporting urgent operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive procurement expertise and thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, communication, and responsiveness are critical.
This is a
4-month contract through the end of March 2026
, with no current plan for full-time conversion.
What You'll Do
- Review purchase requisitions and determine appropriate procurement methods.
- Source and qualify suppliers, obtaining bids or quotations for goods and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
- Create and manage purchase orders and contracts with accuracy and policy compliance.
- Monitor order progress, expedite shipments, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Address supplier issues quickly (e.g., incorrect or late parts) to support urgent operational needs.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and perform supplier performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support procurement activities and supply continuity.
- Track data and maintain documentation within ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive procurement experience with proven ability to source parts and resolve supplier issues quickly.
- Strong background in purchasing, negotiations, and vendor management.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to act with urgency when resolving delivery or quality issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- 5+ years of procurement experience:

in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with
Oracle ERP
(highly preferred), or other major ERP/MRP systems. - Electrical or technical product background is a plus.
- Knowledge of contract management, supply chain logistics, or inventory management.
- Professional procurement or supply chain certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
