What You'll Do:

  • Produce electrical system designs—including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage elements—using tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Develop drawings, load calculations, circuiting layouts, panel schedules, and documentation that align with project scope and code requirements.
  • Work directly with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into full building models.

  • Support the construction phase by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in site observations when needed.
  • Maintain familiarity with evolving electrical design standards, energy codes, and best practices to bring forward innovative and efficient solutions.

Required Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience designing electrical building systems for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for MEP design.
  • Ability to take electrical designs from conceptual development through completed construction documents.
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, system layouts, and detailed design documentation.
  • Demonstrated capability in coordinating electrical components with architectural and mechanical systems.
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards governing electrical building design.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

  • EIT certification or (P.E.) Professional Engineering licensure in progress or completed.
  • Exposure to green building practices or participation in LEED-related projects.
  • Interest in sustainable electrical design strategies and energy-efficient systems.

Why This Firm:

You'll join a team that values collaboration, technical rigor, and continuous improvement. Projects span a wide mix of facility types, offering steady opportunities to broaden your design portfolio and grow professionally within the electrical engineering discipline.
