Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis tools and methodologies, with an emphasis on delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization techniques. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows and ensure data integrity across various platforms.
Duties
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key business metrics.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes utilizing tools like Talend, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and SQL-based solutions such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Design and implement database schemas and optimize database performance through effective database design principles.
- Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to support project management activities aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Utilize R, Python, and other programming languages for advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and automation of data workflows.
- Support the integration of linked data sources to enhance data richness and analytical capabilities.
- Document processes using Visio and other documentation tools to ensure clarity in workflows and system architecture.
- Engage in continuous learning of emerging analytics tools and techniques to improve data analysis skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, R, Python, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and experience with Talend or similar ETL tools.
- Familiarity with database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and project management frameworks like Agile.
- Experience with SDLC processes for software development projects.
- Proficiency in database design, linked data integration, VBA scripting, Bash (Unix shell), and Visio for documentation purposes.
- Ability to analyze large datasets effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to convey complex insights clearly.
