Job Summary:
The IT Construction PM will be vital to the organization's project successes. With extensive knowledge and expertise in IT, Construction, Budgeting/Planning, Epic EHR, this individual is crucial in executing various projects at a time throughout the Front Range (Anywhere from Pueblo, CO to Fort Collins, CO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure.
- Define and enhance healthcare IT support, including speaking the language of EPIC, Clinical Engineering, patient monitoring, imaging, etc.
- Manage budgets for IT implementation, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality technology integration.
- Drive project execution using best practices in project management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies) to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain compliance with healthcare IT regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- On-site travel primarily within the Front Range region to oversee IT implementation and site readiness.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Effectively communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including C-Suites, clinical staff, IT teams, and construction contractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, design/construction, nurses, clinical operations, facilities management, caregivers, and vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring deliverables meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, design & construction with leading large-scale infrastructure deployments.
- Strong preference on having healthcare and/or EPIC EMR experience as well.
- Strong understanding of IT budgeting and financial planning for large projects.
- Experience with healthcare technology environments, including imaging fleet projects, network infrastructure, low volt, cabling, reading construction drawings, imaging modalities, etc.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in both healthcare and construction. Including but not limited to Operations Leaders, Imaging Managers, Design and Construction team members, caregivers, etc.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, results-driven mindset, and ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Education/certification(s) within Epic, Clinical Engineering, Imaging, construction, PMP, etc.
- Experience in ambulatory or outpatient care IT.
- Understanding of healthcare compliance standards.
- Epic EHR knowledge
- Presentation skills for project updates, reports to operational and executive leadership
Other:
- Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation
- Must wear and be comfortable with close-toed shoes, pants, potentially a hard hat/other construction clothing norms
- Must be punctual, communicative, and eager to hit the ground running
- Must be eager about the opportunity, a team player, professional, respectful.
