Duties

• Greet guests warmly and efficiently seat them using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service stations, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed in the kitchen or service areas
• Provide exceptional guest relations through attentive service, prompt responses to inquiries, and personalized recommendations
• Support restaurant operations during busy hours by managing guest flow, assisting with host/host duties, and ensuring smooth service flow
• Uphold sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs enhances your ability to deliver top-tier guest service
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent communication skills for effective guest interactions and teamwork
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
• Serving experience coupled with host/host background is a plus for seamlessly managing guest flow
