Position Overview

We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and optimize project execution. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in construction, landscaping, and business management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage teams, schedules, and budgets efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Field Operations

• Oversee scheduling, coordination, and execution of landscape construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage procurement and logistics, including ordering materials and coordinating deliveries.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure safety.
• Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and support field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
• Oversee workforce scheduling and manage labor distribution across multiple projects.
• Serve as the point of contact for crew-related concerns, troubleshooting as needed.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

• Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to maintain project profitability.
• Work with the estimating team to review bids and ensure accurate job costing.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety standards.
• Develop and enforce company policies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction, landscaping, or a related field, with 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of high-end residential landscape construction, hardscaping, and project management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, job costing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read blueprints, manage contracts, and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Experience in budgeting, purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
