About

The Inventory Operations Manager drives inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and compliance across all markets. This role provides leadership, training, and field support to warehouse teams while ensuring consistent inventory control, auditing, and replenishment practices.

Working closely with the Manager of Purchasing & Door Fulfillment and the Director of Operations & Supply Chain, this position ensures purchasing, warehouse execution, and system data align with real demand and material flow.

The Inventory Operations Manager builds and develops a high-performing warehouse organization, fostering accountability, growth, and operational excellence nationwide. High performers in this role will have opportunities for advancement within the Supply Chain organization, including future leadership of larger teams, regions, or strategic initiatives.

What You Do

Warehouse Oversight & Support

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations across all markets, ensuring alignment with established SOPs and safety standards.
  • Provide training, coaching, and hands-on support to warehouse leaders and staff to maintain compliance and consistency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse troubleshooting, workflow issues, and system challenges.
  • Partner with local and regional leadership to identify opportunities for warehouse layout improvement, consolidation, or expansion.
  • Coach and mentor warehouse leads to create a culture of operational excellence and continuous growth across all markets.

Inventory Management & Accuracy

  • Monitor and audit all inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments) for timeliness and accuracy within ServiceTitan.
  • Implement and manage cycle counts, quarterly, and annual physical inventories across all locations.
  • Review market inventory consumption versus stock templates to validate proper replenishment levels and reduce overstocking.
  • Identify and coordinate the deletion, redeployment, or disposal of obsolete or excess inventory.
  • Track and monitor warranty returns and replacement goods to ensure proper reconciliation in the system.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory health and accuracy; document findings and corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Manager of Purchasing & Door Fulfillment to ensure purchasing activity matches true on-hand needs and demand trends.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile inventory valuation and ensure data accuracy for financial reporting.
  • Support the Director of Operations & Supply Chain in developing and tracking KPIs related to inventory accuracy, count compliance, and shrink reduction.
  • Coordinate with the Data Integrity and Procurement teams to continuously improve inventory system accuracy and efficiency.

Travel & Field Engagement

  • Travel approximately 50% of the time to conduct market audits, warehouse evaluations, and field coaching sessions.
  • Lead on-site reviews and provide structured feedback and follow-up reports to both warehouse leadership and corporate operations.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain management; multi-location oversight strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP/inventory systems (ServiceTitan experience highly preferred); proficiency in Excel and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and hold distributed teams accountable to process standards.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience in trades, construction, or distribution environments preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support field operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent field experience preferred.
