Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Technician Lead provides hands-on technical support and day-to-day leadership to maintenance technicians. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment by coordinating maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist technicians with troubleshooting, repair, and preventative/corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Assign and prioritize daily work orders; coordinate activities with Production and Scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Perform hands-on equipment diagnostics, repairs, and installations.
• Promote and enforce safety programs including LOTO, Hot Work, and plant safety rules.
• Train team members on equipment, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Support spare parts inventory, documentation, and CMMS updates.
• Communicate equipment status to supervisors and act as lead when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a maintenance lead/supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical skills.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
