About

The Controller is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, accounting practices, and fiscal records. This role oversees general accounting, payroll, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations. The Controller manages relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, directs the preparation of accurate financial reports, and provides insights to support strategic business decisions. This position combines financial leadership, process optimization, and cross-department collaboration to drive the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Provide high-level financial analysis and insights to guide business strategy and decision-making.
  • Manage daily cash flow operations and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations

Budgeting & Strategic Planning

  • Lead the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze variances and trends to advise leadership on financial performance and risks.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and analysis

Audit, Compliance & Controls

  • Maintain and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, providing leadership and oversight to ensure smooth processes.
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality:
    Maintain security of sensitive information.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting professional development and operational excellence.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and workflows to optimize team efficiency and accuracy.

Process Improvement & Systems Management

  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Lead ERP and financial system initiatives to support business growth and reporting needs.
  • Stay updated on accounting and industry trends

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with department leaders to align financial processes with operational objectives.
  • Serve as a key resource for financial guidance, process optimization, and decision support across the organization.
  • Represent the Office Revolution and Finance/Accounting Team brand and Core Values
  • Other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Significant progressive accounting experience, including management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-department collaboration and presenting financial insights to leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and process management skills
  • Ability to develop in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
