Are you a proven leader with experience in warehouse operations? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our facility in Richmond, Virginia. This leadership role is pivotal to managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, optimizing workflow, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and reduce errors. A strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and safety protocols is essential. You will be responsible for enforcing company policies, particularly those related to safety and PPE. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure a high level of safety, security, and efficiency within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Optimize workflow and space utilization within the warehouse.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and enforcing PPE usage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
