Our rapidly growing logistics operation in Provo, Utah, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of materials throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to move inventory, load and unload trucks, and organize storage areas. A commitment to safety and operational excellence is paramount. You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of your equipment and adhering to all company safety guidelines. We provide comprehensive training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your well-being. The position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent heavy lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse efficiently.
- Load finished goods onto outbound trucks.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent scanning and data entry.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks as required.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for material handling.
- Good spatial awareness and coordination.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
