Join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a Material Handler and play a vital role in our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing materials throughout the facility to support production and distribution. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will operate various material handling equipment and ensure that materials are accessible and safely stored. This position is essential to our logistics chain, contributing to the efficiency of our warehouse and the timely delivery of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and tracked.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques and procedures to prevent injuries.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE at all times.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory management is beneficial.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
