About
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and documenting all incoming goods. Your attention to detail is vital for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring a smooth flow of materials into our logistics system. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the overall logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is a plus.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
