This role also involves the ability to perform lifting of boxes and other materials weighing up to 40 lbs. Familiarity with shipping systems and carrier requirements is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and pack orders for shipment.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Verify order details against packing slips and manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and utilize all required PPE.
- Perform lifting tasks for items up to 40 lbs.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve any shipping issues.
- Support other warehouse functions as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous shipping or logistics experience is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn shipping software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace safety and PPE use.
