Our San Francisco, California facility is seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our growing logistics team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the precise and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Your duties will include picking items from our inventory, verifying order accuracy, and expertly packaging them for safe delivery. This position demands a sharp eye for detail, efficient work habits, and an unwavering commitment to workplace safety. You'll be part of a fast-paced operation, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Double-check order details to ensure picking accuracy and prevent errors.
- Package items using appropriate materials to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of your workstation and the surrounding warehouse area.
- Comply with all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock organization efforts.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting, bending, and standing.
- Demonstrate an understanding of safe material handling practices.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and logistics processes.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product information.
- Good stamina for standing and moving throughout the shift.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
