Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our operations in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our warehouse, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics network. Your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, and distributing materials, operating material handling equipment, assisting with inventory management, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding strict Safety standards. Previous experience with material handling equipment is a strong plus. You will work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help minimize errors and ensure product integrity. We emphasize a culture of Safety, and all team members are expected to adhere to protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and sort incoming materials and supplies.
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
  • Assist with stock put-away and replenishment.
  • Stage materials for production or shipping.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Report any damaged materials or equipment issues promptly.
  • Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in material handling or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety in all activities.
