About
We have an immediate opening for a diligent Material Handler in our Chicago, Illinois warehouse. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, operating equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain workflow and meet production targets. A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on Safety are crucial for this position. Adherence to all company policies, including the mandatory use of required PPE , is expected. This role involves frequent Lifting and requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a dynamic Logistics environment. We pride ourselves on a safe and supportive work atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure accurate identification and labeling of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and checks.
- Follow all Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE .
- Participate in team efforts to support overall Logistics goals, which may involve heavy Lifting .
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
