About
Are you a certified Forklift Operator seeking a challenging opportunity in San Jose, California? We need your expertise to support our extensive logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring proper inventory placement, and supporting order fulfillment. This position demands precision, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to a productive work environment. Proper use of PPE and a strong understanding of warehouse safety are non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with putting away and retrieving stock.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including speed limits and proper lifting techniques.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow safety procedures diligently.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform Lifting and moving of materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
