We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and refine inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manage the warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Process all inventory adjustments, receipts, and shipments with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure optimal stock rotation and organization within the warehouse to minimize waste and obsolescence.
- Liaise with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Champion a culture of Safety, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment and proper use of PPE.
- Train and guide warehouse personnel on inventory best practices and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with proficiency in data analysis. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be necessary. A background in Logistics or supply chain management is highly preferred.
