About
Our St. Louis, Missouri facility is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage the incoming flow of goods. This role is essential for ensuring that all inventory is accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, inspecting for damages, and preparing materials for distribution or storage. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle packages of various sizes and weights and regular lifting. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify packing slips against received goods.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damages or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately.
- Tag and label received inventory appropriately.
- Move received goods to designated staging or storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving dock.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and logistics is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED.
