Job Summary:
Are you a meticulous and organized individual with experience in inventory management? Our fast-growing logistics company in Durham, North Carolina is searching for an Inventory Control Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies. Your attention to detail and understanding of warehouse operations are key to ensuring the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our overall logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential issues or shortages.
  • Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • May involve occasional Lifting of boxes up to 30 lbs for counting purposes.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse role with an inventory focus.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of general warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of Safety protocols within a warehouse environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with handling physical inventory and occasional Lifting.
