About
We are seeking motivated Order Pickers to join our busy warehouse facility in Houston, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our logistics network by accurately and efficiently gathering products to fulfill customer orders. Your responsibilities will include reading order forms or using a handheld scanner to locate items, ensuring correct product selection and quantity, and preparing orders for shipment. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where accuracy and speed are essential. We require all team members to adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the appropriate use of PPE and safe lifting practices. Prior experience with warehouse equipment and scanners is advantageous. Become a key player in our efficient logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders, using pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items appropriately for consolidation and shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking goals.
- Support the overall logistics process by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick tickets and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanners is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of safe lifting techniques and workplace safety.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
