About
The successful contractor will work across the full design lifecycle, from concept and layout through to detailed design, supporting manufacture, FAT, and site activities where required.
Key Responsibilities
Design bespoke mechanical solutions for special-purpose machinery
Produce 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings
Develop concepts and layouts based on customer requirements
Liaise with manufacturing, electrical, and project teams
Support build, FAT, and installation activities
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and safety requirements
Essential Experience
Proven background in special-purpose or bespoke machinery design
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
Proficient in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software
Experience producing drawings for manufacture
Understanding of fabrication and machining processes
Desirable
Automation, conveyors, or materials handling experience
Pneumatics and/or hydraulics knowledge
Site and commissioning exposure
Qualifications
HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
