_Job Description_ Position: *Massage Therapist *Reports to: *Director of Physical therapy, Gym Operations Manager* *Job Summary* Responsible for delivering a high quality sports and therapeutic massage treatments for all clients as part of an integrated care team within REVO physical therapy. REVO's massage therapists seek out the most effective therapy techniques and continuously strive to improve their skill set. *Primary Responsibilities* * Able to provide therapeutic and sports massages to clients appointment times ranging from minutes in length. * Assess functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists when needed. Reviews patients functional needs and adjusts plans of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Communicates and refers to other health care specialists and procedures outside of massage therapy when deemed necessary for optimal patient care. * Conducts massage therapy practice within defined standards of care defined by the state of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). * Directs the assistance of support staff to fully achieving patients goals. * Practices departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. * Maintains proper documents standards for all client treatments sessions. * Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeps up to date on professional literature and standards of practice. * Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote the profession of physical therapy. *Qualifications* * Must hold a current massage therapy license from the state of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). * Hold a current CPR certification. * At least four years of experience as a professional massage therapist with experience in a sports orthopedic and rehabilitation setting. Able to work on clients who have undergone surgery (acute and chronic) as well as those who are actively experiencing pain and injury. * Able to perform Swedish, deep tissue and fascial release techniques. * Experience in a rehabilitation facility, therapeutic or a sports massage facility. * Experience with post surgical * Strong interpersonal communication skills. * Responsible time management * Demonstrated sales and customer service skills *Hours and Expectations * This position will begin at 20 hours per week. That being said, your physical and psychological health are a priority. We encourage staff to utilize the gym and take full advantage of classes and other gym offerings.
