Procurement Manager

Parsec announces a new opening for the role of Procurement Manager. This important role is responsible for all procurement, and inventory planning of all raw materials and components for Parsecs' products, including engineering developments. Additional responsibilities include scheduling and managing raw material and component transport from factory to Parsec via shipping, rail, and trucks. Raw material is sourced within the US whenever possible. Additional countries you will be working with include Canada and China. This role is responsible for negotiating the pricing, quantity, and delivery commitments with suppliers. As well as planning the flow of raw materials and components as directed. Responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies between actual receipts, purchase orders, and invoices as necessary. Must have experience with MRP systems, contract negotiations, vendor management, purchasing, and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing all components, raw material and consumables for the company.
• Working with NetSuite to plan and track inventory levels.
• Negotiate prices, timing, transportation, and contracts.
• Maintaining adequate supply of materials by ordering, expediting and communicating changes to the supply chain as defined by MRP system and Planning.
• Communicating shortages to production planning and management.
• Managing material supply and the supply chain: Identifying changes in requirements, rescheduling and/or cancellation of existing purchase orders, tracking supplier performance and implementing corrective action as needed.
• Assuring data integrity of all purchased material data elements in material master within the scope of the Purchasing Department; including Vendor/Part data, PO delivery dates, accurate costs, procurement lead times, lot sizes,
