We are hiring for a
Production Support Engineer with Snowflake experience in NJ (Onsite)—W2—Contract.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced
Production Support Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise
to monitor, troubleshoot, and support mission-critical data pipelines, integrations, and applications. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, quick incident resolution, and smooth operations of Snowflake-based data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide
    24/7 production support
    for Snowflake environments, data pipelines, and scheduled jobs.
  • Monitor system performance, query execution, warehouse usage, and Snowflake resource consumption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to
    SQL queries, Snowflake objects, ETL failures, integrations, and connectivity
    .
  • Work closely with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure stable and optimized production systems.
  • Manage job scheduling tools (Airflow, Control-M, Autosys, etc.) and ensure timely execution of workflows.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare incident and resolution documentation.
  • Optimize Snowflake query performance and warehouse configurations.
  • Support deployments, release activities, and environment migrations.
  • Implement monitoring dashboards and alerts for proactive issue detection.
  • Ensure adherence to operational SLAs and change management processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–8 years
    of experience in Production Support or Application Support roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Snowflake
    — warehouses, roles, schemas, tasks, stages, performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    (writing, debugging, performance tuning).
  • Experience supporting
    ETL/ELT workflows
    using tools like Informatica, DBT, Talend, Airflow, Matillion, etc.
  • Good knowledge of
    cloud platforms
    (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with
    monitoring tools
    (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Familiarity with
    Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management
    processes (ITIL).
  • Experience with Linux/Unix commands and scripting (Shell/Python) is an advantage
