We provide an extensive 5-day PAID new hire orientation/training.

Afternoon Shift: Monday-Friday (Flexible Hours).

Starting salary based on experience: $ $24.00/per hour.

Job Description:

  • Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Behavior Technicians (BTs) implement evidence-based behavior intervention methods specific to each child's treatment plan.
  • A Behavior Therapist works 1:1 with children/adolescents and teaches skills through play-based activities.
  • ABA therapy aims to replace target behaviors (such as tantrums, aggression, noncompliance, and self-injurious behaviors) with socially significant behaviors (i.e., speech and language development, play skills, compliance, self-care, and increased independence).

ABA is a systematic approach in which clinical team members utilize their understanding of how behavior works, how it is affected by the environment, and how learning occurs. Learn more about the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and why its evidence-based practices are beneficial for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities. We provide ongoing support and the opportunity to obtain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst With the RBT credential, our BTs qualify for a higher pay bracket.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Report to Clinical Supervisor (BCBA assigned to client's case).
  • Work 1:1 with the client.
  • Utilize strategies in applied behavior analysis as appropriate to the client's behavior intervention plan.
  • Regularly analyze the client's strengths in completing functional tasks and assess their needs.
  • Notify the clinical team of newly observed target behaviors.
  • Document significant behavior changes accordingly.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors exhibited by the client.
  • Perform data collection consistently when implementing strategies.
  • Monitor the client's progression according to the goals outlined in a behavior intervention plan.
  • Actively communicate session cancellations with the Scheduler and coordinate makeup sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and state and federal regulations.
