Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and fostering positive guest relations in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable are highly preferred. A strong background in food service, hospitality, and customer service will contribute to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Support host/host duties as needed during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse clientele
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Experience with food handling, preparation, or kitchen operations is a plus
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and guests
- Previous experience in host/host roles or bussing is advantageous
