Waitstaff/Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and fostering positive guest relations in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable are highly preferred. A strong background in food service, hospitality, and customer service will contribute to success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
• Support host/host duties as needed during busy periods

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse clientele
• Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Experience with food handling, preparation, or kitchen operations is a plus
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and guests
• Previous experience in host/host roles or bussing is advantageous
