Sports Minded Technologies is a sports analytics company that is excited to be hiring a Sales Consultant position to lead and grow its athlete and team sports sales. The Sales Consultant will be in charge of selling the product HeadSet within a sports environment. HeadSet is a customized mental toughness/strength application program for competitive athletes and sports teams. HeadSet is a predictive analytics-driven program that is 100% focused on quantifying each athlete's and team's unique mental strength metric and then utilizes predictive analytics algorithms to automatically develop customized mental strength programs for each of its user's unique needs. Job Overview
We're looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, driven candidate with a genuine passion for the sports industry. Our ideal candidate has strong sales experience in a sports environment, strong relationship management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, networking expertise, and is driven to exceed goals.
As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Finding, establishing, maintaining, and developing relationships with influential decision makers within competitive sports organizations.
- Develop and execute daily and monthly sales plans and assist in the development and execution of the annual sales plan.
- Understand and anticipate market opportunities, issues and trends and use this knowledge to develop strategies and action plans that optimize business results in the sports marketplace.
- Systematically create and execute e-mail, telephone, social media, and in-person lead development strategies.
- Identify and target sales leads and new potential distribution and affiliate partners.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the sales process and what is required for products and customized solutions to be successful.
- Work in partnership with the marketing team on the roll-out of marketing initiatives and go-to-market strategies for new product features to customer base.
- Work in partnership with the technology team to ensure the voice of the customer is at the forefront.
- Develop and maintain a database of customer and sales information, as well as entering relevant information into a CRM.
Experience Required:
· Minimum 3 years of sales experience and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding results.
· Understanding a sports environment, teams, sport psychology, and what it means to be able to perform under pressure is an asset.
· Experience selling to athletic organizations/schools or athletic programs an asset.
