About The Role
Trident Technical College's award-winning Marketing department is seeking a Front-End Website Developer to join its dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the college's online presence by utilizing the college's Content Management System, Modern Campus, to craft an engaging and user-friendly website experience. The primary objective is to effectively communicate the college's benefits, educational offerings, and campus environment to prospective students, encouraging them to initiate the application process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in website development, an eye for design, and the ability to translate creative concepts into functional digital experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a reputable educational institution while honing skills in web development, UI/UX design, and digital marketing strategies.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess an associate degree in art or related fields, with experience in graphics programs. Candidates holding a bachelor's degree or higher will also be considered, demonstrating a strong foundation in web development and design principles. Proficiency in working within Content Management Systems, particularly Modern Campus, is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have experience writing clean, semantic HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript code to develop custom, flexible page templates. Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in coding environments is required. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital for explaining technical concepts clearly and working collaboratively within a team. Experience translating design mockups into functional web templates, along with graphic design skills, is highly desirable. The ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and solve problems systematically will contribute to success in this role.

Responsibilities
The Front-End Website Developer will be responsible for utilizing the Modern Campus CMS to create and maintain engaging web pages that align with the college's branding and marketing strategies. Key duties include developing custom page templates using semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML, ensuring all web content adheres to accessibility standards. The role involves translating visual design mockups into functional web components that provide a seamless user experience. Collaborating with the marketing team and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational goals is essential. The developer will also troubleshoot and resolve website issues, optimize site performance, and implement new features to enhance user engagement. Maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and ensuring the website is responsive across devices are critical aspects of the role. Regularly updating content, conducting usability testing, and staying informed of the latest web development trends will be part of ongoing responsibilities.
