Retail Store Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Store Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales, and maintaining an organized store environment. Experience with POS systems, merchandising, and cashiering is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about merchandise
• Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize product displays
• Stock shelves, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled
• Assist with cashiering duties, including processing returns and exchanges
• Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and phone etiquette
• Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, ensuring smooth store operations

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks and stock shelves efficiently
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broader customer base
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are valued
• Ability to work flexible hours in a retail environment, including weekends if necessary
