Owner/Operator Driver/Cargo Van/Sprinter

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes. As an Owner Operator, you will utilize your own cargo van and equipment to deliver goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to manage your own business operations effectively.

Duties

• Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles, including flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours of service and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Utilize manual transmission when required, demonstrating proficiency in driving various types of trucks.
• Manage freight documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations related to transportation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving roles with a strong understanding of route driving.
• Driver's license
• Cargo Insurance
• Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures as well as freight handling best practices.
• Ability to operate forklifts for loading/unloading tasks is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and dispatch teams.
