Concrete Worker

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with concrete-related tasks and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on various projects, including commercial and residential sites, requiring physical endurance, attention to detail, and proficiency with a range of tools and techniques. Candidates with experience in masonry, framing, or heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply. Duties

• Prepare and set forms for pouring concrete, ensuring proper alignment and stability using blueprint reading and schematics.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other power tools to facilitate efficient concrete placement.
• Install rebar and metal stud framing as part of structural reinforcement and support systems.
• Finish concrete surfaces through smoothing, troweling, and applying finishing techniques such as stamping or staining.
• Assist with concrete pouring, spreading, leveling, and curing processes on various construction sites.
• Perform masonry work including stucco, tile laying, and caulking to enhance structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws as well as heavy equipment for lifting and moving materials safely.
• Conduct renovation work involving demolition, restoration, or remodeling of existing structures.
• Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, scaffolding setup, and site safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters, roofers, plasterers, and other trades to ensure project completion on time and within specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on concrete installation or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
• Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete mixing, pumping, finishing, and form setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with building codes related to concrete work and structural reinforcement.
• Physical strength for heavy lifting and long hours working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for heavy machinery operation and site safety.
• Valid driver's license for commercial driving or equipment transportation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation such as cranes or excavators is a plus.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship. Pay: $ $28.23 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 24.0 per week
