Receptionist / Customer Service Representative
Part-time or Full-time | PetMed of Key West Veterinary Clinic, Dubuque, IA

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, fun, and team-oriented environment? PetMed of Key West is looking for a friendly, reliable Receptionist/Customer Service Representative to join our veterinary clinic team.

Hours:

• Part-time: Minimum 8–12 hours per week (depending on the week).
• Full-time available if desired.
• Regular weekday hours: 7:55 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break.
• 1–2 Saturdays per month required (7:55 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.).

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and pets with professionalism and warmth
• Answering and managing a multi-line phone system
• Scheduling appointments and managing records in our computer system
• Providing excellent communication and customer service both in person and over the phone
• Supporting the veterinary team in creating a welcoming, efficient environment

Requirements:

• Excellent English and communication skills (speaking, writing, dictation)
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to manage a busy phone system
• Strong computer skills, accurate typing, and ability to learn new software quickly
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fun, team-oriented environment while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities
• Comfortable working around animals of all sizes, loud noises, and occasional strong odors

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Medical receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
• Appointment scheduling: 1 year (Required)
• Customer service: 3 years (Required)
• Multi-line phone systems: 2 years (Required)
• Phone etiquette: 4 years (Required)
• Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
