SUMMARY:
Test and inspect product and processes at various stages of production process. Ensures continuous production of products is consistent with established standards by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Conducts inspections and completes daily QA documents / reports as required by our SQF program
2. Ensures that all incoming raw materials and packaging are inspected and meet specification.
3. Conduct pre-op inspections to include taking all swabs for microbiological analysis.
4. Coordinate all finished product microbiological and analytical testing conducted in house and at outside laboratories.
5. Test products for variety of quality parameters such as dimension, weight, temperature and color
6. Conduct daily food safety audits in the facility to ensure GMP's are being adhered to and report deficiencies to QA Manager.
7. Conducts inspections and completes daily QA documents / reports as required by our SQF program
8. Conduct daily quality audits in the processing area to ensure finished products meet product specifications
9. Conducts daily audits to ensure the facility complies with all FDA requirements
10. Perform temperature and record keeping audits for the facilities as required by our SQF program
11. Maintain accurate data files.
12. Report findings and recommendations to key personnel as necessary.
13. Perform other duties as specified by QA Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate and limited experience in a production facility or 2 + years of experience working in a FDA food plant. Preferred: HACCP certified and / or SQF Certified.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Have the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Bi-lingual preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Have the ability to enter and interpret data on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word documents.
REASONING ABILITY:
Have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
