Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77027 Salary Range: $120, $200,000.00 Salary/yearPosition Overview

The role sits at the intersection of business analysis and technical data science work. The Technical Analyst is expected to:

  • Understand business problems and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Develop and implement data pipelines, automation, and analytical solutions.

  • Work with large, complex datasets (spatial, temporal, structured, and unstructured).

  • Support data scientists and business stakeholders by building the infrastructure and tools needed for analytics and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Gather requirements, analyze processes, and document solutions.

  • Development: Write scripts, build APIs, create automation tools.

  • Data Engineering: Maintain pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable analytics.

  • Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and business users to deliver insights.

  • Visualization: Develop dashboards and reports to communicate findings.

  • Geospatial Analytics: Apply GIS tools for location-based insights.

  • Agile Participation: Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and testing.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Ensure best practices are captured and shared.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in a hybrid role (business analysis + technical work).

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.



Technical Skillset
  • Programming: Python, Java, R, SQL.

  • Databases/ETL: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Astra DB.

  • Cloud: AWS (S3, SageMaker).

  • Collaboration/DevOps Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, PyCharm.

  • Machine Learning: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV.

  • Generative AI: Experience with large language models and GenAI frameworks.

  • Geospatial Analysis: ArcGIS, QGIS, CARTO, or Python geospatial libraries.
