Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our restaurant, catering services, or hotel dining facilities.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to facilitate a clean dining environment.
- Support kitchen staff by providing clean cooking utensils and equipment as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Help with food preparation tasks as required by the kitchen team.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules for the kitchen and dining areas.
Skills
- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen or banquet settings.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and management.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
