About the Role:
The Supervisor of Credentialing & Provider Enrollment is responsible for leading and supporting the Credentialing & Privileging Specialists and the Provider Enrollment Specialists to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant provider onboarding, privileging, and payer enrollment. This role oversees daily workflow, monitors timelines, ensures high data accuracy, and maintains consistent communication with internal leadership and external credentialing partners. A primary responsibility of this role is ensuring the integrity and governance of NANI's credentialing system, Credential Stream, including configuration management, workflow oversight, provider file accuracy, reporting, and standardization of documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Oversight
- Supervise and support Credentialing and Privileging Specialists and Provider Enrollment.
- Assign workloads and monitor progress to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide training, onboarding support, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Promote accountability, professional communication, and a collaborative team culture.
CredentialStream System Governance
- Serve as co-administrator and system steward of CredentialSystem.
- Maintain provider data accuracy, system configurations, workflows, templates and audit controls.
- Conduct regular data integrity reviews and system usage audits.
- Train team members and reinforce standardized process documentation.
- Optimize workflows and partner with leadership on system improvements and reporting needs.
Credentialling and Privileging Oversight
- Oversee hospital, dialysis, SNF, and ASC privileging processes to support clinical onboarding readiness.
- Ensure timely completion of initial applications, reappointments, and scope updates.
- Resolve escalations with medical staff offices and facility credentialing departments.
Payer Enrollment Oversight
- Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment workflows.
- Ensure accurate delegated roster submissions and timely revalidations.
- Support payer issue resolution and communication with Revenue Cycle and Operations team.
Communication and Collaboration
- Serve as primary escalation contact for credentialing or enrollment delays.
- Communicate provider readiness timelines to operations and clinical leadership.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with external partners and facility contacts.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, medical staff services and/or payer enrollment.
- 1+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Hands on experience with CredentialStream system management and workflow oversight.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NAMSS CPCS or CPMSM certification (or in progress).
- Experience with delegated credentialing and roster management.
- Experience in multisite physician group or MSO environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the credentialing team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of provider credentials and re-credentialing activities.
- Oversee the collection, verification, and maintenance of provider documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Human Resources, Compliance, and Quality Assurance to facilitate credentialing processes and resolve issues.
