Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining overall operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise all restaurant or hospitality operations, including casual dining, fine dining, catering, and bar services.
- Oversee food preparation, food safety protocols, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales reporting.
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food production to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Train, develop, and evaluate staff members to ensure high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Handle staffing responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, scheduling shifts, and performance management.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Coordinate kitchen management activities including food quality control and kitchen workflow optimization.
- Supervise event setups such as banquets or catering functions when applicable.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation practices across all departments.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, training & development initiatives, and clear communication.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the food industry, including restaurant management or hospitality management roles.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary processes, and kitchen management.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety compliance.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Leadership qualities that promote teamwork, staff development, and operational excellence.
- Experience in managing hospitality operations including catering or banquet services is preferred.
