Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling for Ethernet networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for computers and devices for both homes and businesses.

  • Assist in expanding services to include security system installations, integrating with existing low-voltage infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage systems, including potential home automation setups like smart lighting, security cameras, and IoT devices.

  • Collaborate with the team on site surveys, customer consultations, and project planning.

  • Adhere to industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, NEC) for safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a low-voltage technician, with hands-on expertise in Cat6 cable installation and network cabling.

  • Previous experience installing and servicing alarm systems (e.g., security panels, sensors, wiring) is required – we're looking to leverage your skills for our expansion

  • Familiarity with home automation systems (e.g., Z-Wave, Zigbee) is a plus.

  • Certifications such as BICSI Installer, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly desirable.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; physical ability to handle tools, ladders, and cabling in various environments.

  • Background check required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
