We're partnering with a leading organization seeking a Manager, Internal Audit to build and oversee a best-in-class audit function. This role will play a key part in strengthening governance, risk management, and operational integrity across the business. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong technical expertise, and the leadership ability to shape and drive a high-impact internal audit program.
Responsibilities
:
- Lead the company's internal audit function, with oversight across operational, financial, IT, and information security audits.
- Develop and implement annual audit plans aligned with company objectives and risk priorities.
- Direct, mentor, and support audit team members while ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and emerging risks.
- Review audit findings and reports to ensure quality, accuracy, and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with senior leadership to track and follow up on remediation plans and compliance actions.
- Coordinate efforts with external auditors and other assurance providers to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Provide insights and recommendations that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead or participate in investigations and special reviews as needed.
- Contribute to the development of audit methodologies, tools, and internal processes to strengthen overall governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CIA, CPA, CFA, or similar) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive audit, accounting, or risk management experience — energy trading operational environments preferred
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic setting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risk.
