Our growing logistics operation in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a skilled Material Handler to support our warehouse activities. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, stocking shelves, and preparing goods for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining an organized and productive workspace. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and efficiency in all our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and retrieve inventory from shelves and racking systems.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any issues or required maintenance.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals in our logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment operations and safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
